With university tuition fees rising and with many people unable to get a place there could be growth for the vocational courses that are currently offered by colleges. Alternatives are out there and there should be no reason to state there will be a 'lost generation'. Many people dream of getting their degree and being able to study a subject in great detail and stay within academia to help learn and create new skills before moving on into the workplace.
